Your talent. A path to Italy.

IVJ supports your journey towards employment in Italy, with a focus on your skills, employers’ needs and clarity at every step.

From the Philippines to Italy. With clarity, step by step.

This guide explains the recruitment process through a licensed Philippine agency described by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). Some activities may run in parallel. Italian requirements apply alongside Philippine procedures and depend on the worker’s circumstances and the applicable entry route.

Seven stages. Understand the journey.

Open a step to see what happens and who is involved.

01 · The candidate's profile

Create your DMW eRegistration account, upload your credentials and complete the preliminary PEOS orientation. Your profile brings together information for the selection process. Who is involved: candidate and DMW. Key terms: eRegistration, ERN number and PEOS certificate.

02 · Company verification

The employer prepares the documentation for verification at the competent Migrant Workers Office or the consular authentication required by the procedure. The objective is to verify the company and the proposed conditions. Who is involved: employer and competent offices. The DMW document mentions: SPA power of attorney, MEC model contract, MR personnel request and CR commercial registration.

03 · Accreditation

Document verification precedes employer accreditation, in collaboration with an authorized Philippine Recruitment Agency (PRA). It is the agency authorized to handle recruitment in the Philippines for the company. Who is involved: MWO/DMW, employer and PRA. Philippine accreditation does not replace Italian authorizations.

04 · Interviews and selection

The employer and licensed agency assess candidates through interviews, including video calls. Skills, experience and expectations are matched against the role and workplace. Who is involved: candidate, employer and PRA. Selection is one stage of the process: entry into Italy also requires completion of the formalities applicable to the individual case.

05 · Contract and documentation

The authorized agency manages the worker's documentation in the DMW systems, linking it to the personnel request and the contract. The procedure may include a review of the contract by the DMW, according to the applicable category. Who is involved: PRA and DMW, with the candidate and company documents. The checks and approvals are the responsibility of the competent parties.

06 · The departure

Departure is prepared after completion of the required formalities, including those for entry into Italy. The worker presents the exit documentation applicable to his situation to the Philippine authorities. Who is involved: worker, PRA and competent authorities. OEC and OFW Travel Pass: you need to check which document applies to your case, without considering them automatically interchangeable.

07 · The journey continues

The DMW presentation describes monitoring after departure by the licensed agency and relevant Philippine bodies, including the embassy, MWO and OWWA. Who is involved: PRA and Philippine worker welfare bodies. IVJ remains a point of contact for support with employment in Italy within the scope of the agreed services.

Different people. Clear responsibilities.

Each participant has a clear role in the process.

The PRA · Recruitment in the Philippines

The authorized Philippine agency handles DMW recruitment and documentation within its mandate.

The authorities · Checks and protections

The Philippine and Italian offices carry out the checks and issue the documents within their competence. IVJ does not issue visas or permits.

What about working in Italy?

The Philippine path is accompanied by Italian procedures. For those arriving from abroad, entry for work can take place within the established quotas or in cases admitted outside the quota. Clearances, visas and residence permits must be verified according to the applicable channel. For those who are already legally in Italy, the conditions depend on the residence permit held.

Does a positive interview guarantee departure?

A positive interview does not guarantee hiring or departure. It is necessary to complete the contractual and documentary process and obtain the authorizations required for the specific situation. Times and outcome also depend on checks by the authorities.
